Our staff at Athena Clinic in Hawaii understands the sensitive nature of cosmetic surgery. Dr Peterson is well respected as a surgeon with a gentle manner who can create extraordinary improvements while maintaining a very natural look. His extensive training includes Harvard Medical School, general surgery training at the University of Hawaii, cosmetic surgery at the Texas Medical Center as well as advanced specialty training in Japan and China. Dr. Peterson has been chief of Plastic Surgery at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children for the past 10 years.

Each patient has unique needs, and Athena Clinic in Hawaii employs a cosmetic surgery staff that strives to offer individualized care to fit those needs. The goal of Dr. Peterson's staff is to make patients feel relaxed and confident by answering all questions and being as informative as possible.

Meet Our Cosmetic Surgery Staff

Michelle
Michelle is our Practice Manager and has many years experience in Plastic Surgery both in Sydney, Australia & Hawaii. With a background in Health Science & Business Management , Michelle comes with a wealth of knowledge in patient counseling, surgery and management. She is kind and nurturing and will guide you through the process of booking your surgery and answering any questions you may have. Michelle enjoys travelling, playing guitar, yoga, camping at the beach and spending time with her husband.

Jenn
Jenn is our patient coordinator and will usually be the first friendly voice you hear on the phone. She will assist you with scheduling your appointment & help you with your enquries. Jenn is a local girl who holds a bachelors degree in psychology. She is caring and fun loving and in her free time she enjoys cooking, dining out with her boyfriend Jon, shopping with the girls and loves her kitty cat Oreo.

Heather
Heather is one of our patient counselor, R.N’s. You will see Heather both at your consultation as well as pre and post surgery. She was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She is an efficient and spirited girl who enjoys caring for others, exploring Hawaii, family, scuba diving and movie nights with her Husband.

Dr. Lu
Dr. Lu received her training from the Shanghai Medical School. Her career has included working on research projects and in translating for ER123. Dr. Lu assists Dr. Peterson in patient care and translates for Chinese patients. During her free time, she enjoys surfing the internet, cooking, and trying different foods. Dr. Lu is our Chinese translator.

Dr. Nannette Duca-Cruz. Anesthesiologist
Dr. Duca-Cruz received her medical degree from St. Georges University and completed her anesthesiology training at St. Josephs Regional Medical Center in New Jersey. Originally from Miami, Florida, she moved to Honolulu with her locally-born husband in 2008. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys running, reading, cooking, martial arts and stand-up paddle boarding. Dr. Duca-Cruz's patient care goals are to give a safe and pleasant surgical experience.

Dr. Bruce Campbell. Anesthesiologist
Dr Bruce Campbell is one of our board certified anesthesiologist, with over 18 years experience in Anesthesia. Bruce is gentle, kind and always with a smile on his face. You are in the very best of care with him looking over you on your day of surgery. Dr Campbell received his medical doctor training at the university of Colorado at the Health Science Centre and completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas. When he isn?t working hard he enjoys a very active lifestyle with his girlfriend, which includes deep sea fishing, boating, scuba diving and cruising on his motorcycle around the island.

Dr. Mike Pi. Anesthesiologist
Dr Mike Pi is one of our board certified Anesthesiologist, with over 13 years experience in Anesthesia. Mike is vivacious and usually has everyone in stitches of laughter. Mike also works with a lot of children and babies so he is always very nurturing. Dr Pi received his medical doctor training at the Medical College of Pennsylvanian and completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Southern California in LA. Mike is happily married with two kids and his hobbies include pumping iron at the gym, his salt water fish tank and he admits to an addiction to the internet.

Annie CRN
Annie is one if our CRN Anesthetist with over 31 years local experience, in both hospital and plastic surgery centers in Hawaii. Annie was raised in upstate New York and her educations was at Trocaire College and Rosewell Park Institute school of Nurse Anesthesia both in Buffalo and New York. She is kind hearted and her special ways make you feel like you are being cared for by your mom. She is the mother of 3 college age sons and loves traveling, cooking and the art of photography. She also loves her 17lb cat named Beau who lives to eat.

Karen
Karen is our CRN with over 10 years experience in Anesthesia, in both hospital and plastic surgery centers in Hawaii. She was born and raised in Wisconsin and completed her graduate studies in Southern California. Karen is happily married with a cute daughter; Isabel aged 7 and two playful cats: Maverick & Bitsy. She loves to travel, do yoga, read, cook and drinking good coffee.
