IPL Hair Removal

As a long term hair reduction treatment, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is used safely and effectively to remove all types of pigmented hair anywhere on the face and body. IPL penetrates deep into the hair follicle where it triggers a photothermal reaction which destroys the pigmented cells of the follicle and inhibits their ability to regenerate. IPL can only remove hair that is in its growth phase at the time of treatment.

Individual hairs go into their growth phase at different times so a series of treatments about 1-2 months apart will be necessary to remove all of the unwanted hairs. Usually 5 treatments are necessary to remove the unwanted hair. Blond, white and gray hairs (minimal pigment) take more treatments to obtain the desired results.
