Saturday appointments only for the below treatments
BOTOX®
What is it?
BOTOX® is an injectable medication that is used to significantly reduce facial wrinkles. Cosmetic uses of BOTOX® include treating common signs of aging,
such as; the horizontal lines on the forehead, vertical lines between the eyebrows and on the bridge of the nose, and fine lines or "crow's feet" at the
corners of the eyes.
How dose it work?
BOTOX® rejuvenation is a simple procedure in which a specially trained physician or registered nurse carefully injects a very low dose of "botulinum toxin,
type A" into or around an individual's facial muscles, causing temporary relaxation of the injected muscle which results in a reduction of facial wrinkles.
You can expect to see results within a few days after the treatment and visible results can last up to 4 months. The procedure may have to be repeated every
three to four months to maintain results. The procedure is quick and discomfort is minimal and brief. Ideal candidates for Botox injections are young to middle
age men and women who do not have significant sun damage but want to eliminate lines and wrinkles on their face. Botox can be combined with other cosmetic
procedures to enhance outcomes.
Restylane
What is it?
Restylane is a natural cosmetic dermal "filler" that restores volume, contour and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles, creases and folds.
Restylane has a highly favorable safety profile. It is composed of stabilized hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the human body. Unlike other
hyaluronic acid and bovine collagen products, Restylane is free from animal proteins, thus minimizing any risk of animal-based disease transmission or
allergic reactions.
How does it work?
Restylane is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts by an ultrafine needle, then gently massaged or "sculpted" to the desired effect.
Unlike other dermal fillers, Restylane does not harden over time, so you do not feel it when touching your face. To optimize your comfort during the
short procedure, our physician may anesthetize the treatment area. The effects of Restylane generally last for four to six months, depending on the
area of the face.
Lipodissolve
What is it?
Lipodissolve® refers to a nonsurgical method of body contouring as an alternative to minor Liposculpture. Lipodissolve® Injections are based on a mixture of four standard medications that are administered directly into the fat to initiate the breakdown of fat accumulation. This process happens over a period of weeks as the body works to break down the fat and eliminate by natural means.
Lipodissolve® originates from Europe and was developed further in the United States and Latin America. Dr Peterson one of the few pioneering surgeons to use this technique in his practice in Honolulu, Hawaii.
How does it work?
The main component of Lipodissolve® is Phosphatidylcholine, which is a natural compound produced from the Soya bean. The body uses the same substance in a number of chemical pathways, including fat metabolism.
To ensure a smooth reduction of the fat deposit, it is important to achieve the adequate and necessary concentration of Phosphatidylcholine in every part of the treated area, thus requiring a specific multi- injection technique. At the time of consultation Dr Peterson will calculate the required dosage per area.
The amounts of Phosphatidylcholine injected into one fat deposit range between 4 ml and 80 ml per application according to your individual needs.
